Post no heat 

I have a 1998 ford taurus se........my heater fan works but i get only cold air, no heat. is it my heater core? or may be the controle servo?

Post No heat in my Taurus 

I have basically the same problem with my '99 Taurus.  The mechanic said there is a shunt across the in- and out- lines going to the heater core and most of the hot water goes through the shunt.  Does anyone know if it will hurt anything if I just eliminate that shunt?  Seems like a better idea to me.
