Post Mustang Tachometer

I was riding in my mustang when all of a sudden the radio would not change stations and the volume control would not operate....the tachometer started going crazy and then I lost power.....I shut it down and attempted to restart it....All I got was a click from the solenoid.....I attmepted to jump it and it worked...the tracker only ran for about five minutes before it lost all power (like it was not timed properly) and died.

heiddy, what exactly did the tachometer do? did it start bouncing? did it spike? or did it drop rapidly? those are some important things, Also the click from the solenoid would probably tell me that its a dead battery, but it could be other things check the connections, good trick to check connections is turn on the headlights and if they turn on connections fine, if they are off and you wiggle the connectios and they turn on its the connections. Now for the loss of power part what exactly happened? any leaking fluids?

Thank you....I figured it out..........Their is a sensor on the air intake that was shutting it down....I cleaned it up and now it is running.
