Garage Cabinets, Garage Storage, and Garage Organization

First posting on this site so here goes. Provided I can get it working, I've been given the use of a 1995 Escort (not sure on the exact model). The car has been sitting for about two years in a garage unused, the inside is in a sorry state and stinks of mould and dogs, but that will be easy to deal with over time. Is there anything that I need to be aware of before I embark on getting the thing moving, for example, will I need to change the oil, make sure the brakes aren't seized etc or shall I just get the battery charged and go for it. It's worthwhile as the body has no dents (although someone has stuck brown packing tape in a few places for some reason!!! any ideas about getting that cleaned up) any help greatly appreciated, cheers P89.
