Garage Cabinets, Garage Storage, and Garage Organization

Hello all! I've got a couple questions.

I've got some mechanical background and my Dad was a GM mechanic for 13 years so I'm not a complete moron with this. But i'm going to be working on a 1996 Ford Contour for a friend at work with the 2.0 Liter engine.

1. I'm going to be replacing the rack and pinion on Friday night. He's already got the part and one of the lines for the power steering that was bad. My question is, is there a write-up of how to do this. My Dad and I have done rack and pinions before but it's always nice to have a guide when in unfamiliar territory. Also, any idea how long this normally takes on this car?

2. In the next couple of weeks I'm going to be replacing the head from the engine. I was wondering if there was anything weird or unual about the timing or cams that I should know about before I do this. I just don't want to see any real surprises when I get in there. Any write-ups for this?
