Hi, the steering on my 1998 ford escort has got quite noisy lately. It had occasionally, in recent years, made a deep vibrating noise when turning left into my drive. but recently, higher pitched vibrating noises are coming from behind the steering wheel. any thought?

Hi Algo, try getting steering system filled through with new fluid and purged of any air. air can cause these noises.
Is fluid level OK? as may be pulling air into system if too low.

thanks for reply...had the fluid changed, but the noise still there.
