Post Ford Mustang Sound System

Hello  ppl, I just bought a ford mustang and I'd like to add a good sound system. I'm looking at putting in a new reciever, speakers, and adding a sub. I've never installed a system before and I'm not exactly which name brands to get and what not. I'd like to know what some of you who have systems recommend and what the price range is for a good sounding system, and also whether or not it's a good idea to get a professional install or do it yourself. thank you.

I have put a sealed subwoofer enclosure with two 10" Subwoofers (takes up half my storage behind the rear seat. I've replaced all four 4" full range speakers with midrange, and added two tweeters on the door posts! The subs are powered by a single 200 watt per channel amp. The mids and tweets are powered by a 200 watt amp (because there is a noise law where I live. However, the headset/deck is a CD\DVD\MP3 Player with AM/FM Radio. A 7½" Screen is attached to my Dashboard (at windscreen height ...don't have to look up or down and cause an accident). A passive Equalizer and a Crossover controls the quality of the output.
I plan to upgrade my bass amp to 1000 watts.

I fitted the stereo in my mustang myself, I upgraded the speakers in the dash to kenwoods as with stereo and cd autochanger which I have under my seat. Only thing I found was trying to squeeze a 12in sub and box between the rear seats and door. The sub tends to rattle the door but some dynamat sound deadening should sort it out. I found it easy to install as none of the stereo wiring had been cut by the previous owner as is commen with cars whose owners wont pay £12.99 for a wiring adaptor who will the use bullet connectors!
